about me

hi! i’m ava, a gal that loves getting creative in the kitchen and is happiest with her hands either in dough or dirt.

my recipes are largely inspired by nature, the seasons, and my fire-burning passion for nourishing my family with real, local-as-possible ingredients that ultimately connect us to the land and put food dollars back into the hands of those that deserve it most — farmers.

traditional ingredients that our bodies know, love, and most importantly, recognize (like butter, whole milk, maple syrup, flour, farm fresh eggs, etc.), serve as my foundation. flowers + herbs hold a special place in my heart, and in my kitchen, as does down-home southern style cookery; all of which you will certainly see reflected in my creations.
